Twitter Considers Labeling Bots on the Platform with a Checkmark: In an October 25th interview with The Wall Street Journal’s Joanna Stern, the Legal, Trust, Policy and Safety Lead at Twitter, Vijaya Gadde, shared that the company might consider labeling bots on the platform.

She stated that “the more transparency that [Twitter] can provide in the product as to who is behind any account is a good thing.” This move is part of Twitter’s efforts to battle trolls, identify bots, and combat misinformation on the platform.

Twitter Tests Emoji-Type Reactions for Direct Messages: Twitter is trying to “make it easier and faster to respond to a Direct Message” by testing emoji reactions that can be attached to specific messages.

Twitter’s Testing a New Option Which Would Enable You to Switch Accounts in Tweet Replies: Twitter appears to be testing a new option that enables users to switch accounts within the tweet reply process, “making it easier to manage multiple account interactions on the go.” This experimental feature was spotted by Twitter user, Renz Bernardo, and shared by social media expert, Matt Navarra.
