Google gets egg on its face with Stadia gaming launch

Google’s attempt to break into another business – gaming – has not met with unalloyed praise on either side of the Atlantic: its Stadia ‘cloud gaming platform’ is, so fans say, what everyone wants – you don’t need a console – but depends on a fast, robust internet service.

Which, as we all know, may be the case at Google HQ in California but isn’t in much of the US and the UK.

Stadia seems to have compounded its problems with the launch campaign from LA agency Omelet, named after breaking eggs.

Aren’t hysterical crazed hippies somewhat last century for a new, supposedly state of the art gaming platform?

Back to the drawing board Google. Why is saying that so satisfying?

MAA creative scale: 2.
