Comedian and their comedy roasts are appearing more and more often in ads, sometimes to annoying effect – think Nationwide.
They may be funny/diverting once but the same joke over and over again pales somewhat.
But Greenpeace and agency Nice and Serious are giving the format another whirl this Christmas, the clincher in this contest being potato telling turkey that feeding the ten million or so we’re going to scoff this Christmas requires soya from deforested areas the size of Glasgow.
So we’re all doomed, not just the Christmas turkey.
But it’s well realised – although can’t say the vegan alternative really attracts. Presumably that’s got to be grown somewhere too.
